CUPRA is the motorsport division of SEAT and is a standalone brand with dedicated models. The first of these, the Formentor is available for sale in Ireland from 2021. The CUPRA Formentor will be available with five powertrains, including two high-performance plug-in hybrid versions and available from launch is a 310PS petrol unit that offers the ultimate expression of the CUPRA brand’s DNA.

The CUPRA Formentor will split its line-up into two categories, CUPRA Formentor versions with an output power below 245PS and CUPRA Formentor VZ, versions with an output power from 245PS.
The Formentor will be available in a 1.5 TSI 150 PS and a 2.0 TDI 150 PS, both available in manual and DSG automatic transmission. “The plug-in hybrid Formentor will come in a e-Hybrid 1.4TSI 204 PS DSG powertrain. Topping off the range will be a Formentor VZ e-Hybrid 1.4 TSI 245PS DSG front-wheel-drive and a traditional petrol Formentor VZ 2.0 TSI 310PS DSG 4Drive.”
