Introducing the Opel Movano
Versatility comes in many different shapes and sizes, and so does the Opel Movano van. One of Britain's best-selling large vans now has a fresh design that translates to better efficiency and a class-leading payload.
Opel understand that your business is unique, which is why the Movano can be built to meet just about any specification you require, ensuring you don't have to compromise on one of your biggest assets.
A range of new technologies and driver aids complement the Movano's intuitive design, which makes this particular van easier to live with on a daily basis.

Capacity and Loadspace

The amount of choice available with the Opel Movano is useful when searching for a new van that suits your needs and budget.
You have three different body lengths and three roof heights to choose from, with the largest possible configuration providing you with a mammoth 17m3 of loadspace.
Payloads range from 740kg on the smallest electric model right up to 1,910kg on the most capable diesel version.
There are several different body styles available, too:

  • Panel Van
  • Crew Van
  • Chassis Cab
  • Crew Cab
  • Platform Cab
Technology and Safety

The Movano isn't just a brute that can shift some serious weight, it also happens to be a comfortable and welcoming place for drivers and passengers to spend time.
Equipment includes a 5-inch colour touchscreen with sat nav, Bluetooth and air conditioning on Dynamic models. You also get cruise control, rear park distance sensors, remote control alarm and an air-conditioned glovebox.
Standard safety features across all models include:

  • Electronic stability programme
  • Hill start assist
  • Driver's airbag
  • Daytime running lights
Economy and Performance

A state-of-the art 2.2-litre turbodiesel is the only combustion engine option, but it comes in two different power outputs:

  • 2.2-litre (138bhp) Turbo D, 34mpg (WLTP Combined High)
  • 2.2-litre (163bhp) Turbo D, 34mpg (WLTP Combined High)

The other innovative option - and not regularly seen on a full-size van - is the fully electric Movano-e, which provides all of the loadspace and capability you need with greatly reduced running costs.

Test drive the Opel Movano

It's easy to see why the Opel Movano is one of the best-selling large vans in Ireland. The remarkable flexibility that comes from having such a variety of body shapes and sizes means the Movano is ready for whatever you need to throw at it.

Highlights
Opel Movano
1
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSIONS
The Opel Movano provides the power to get the job done right. A hard-working new range of Euro 6d compliant 2.2 diesel engines are available, with a maximum torque up to 370Nm and rugged 6-speed manual transmission.
2
OPERATING COSTS
The Opel Movano offers businesses of all sizes an extremely competitive total cost of ownership, excellent and predictable scheduled servicing expenditure, superb fuel economy and low emissions.
3
ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM (ESP)
Along with Traction Control, the ESP system uses wheel-braking and engine-braking to limit wheelspin in the case of loss of grip. An integrated Load Adaptive Control system helps to maintain the vehicle’s original course in difficult conditions by adapting the vehicle’s ESP according to the weight and distribution of the payload.
4
SPEED SIGN RECOGNITION
Working in conjunction with Cruise Control, this system visually recognises road signs and warns the driver of local speed restrictions.
5
CRUISE CONTROL WITH SPEED LIMITER
Allows the driver to maintain a constant speed or limit the maximum speed of the vehicle.
6
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING
Permanently monitors the road via the camera located above the rear-view mirror. Should the vehicle drift out of lane an audio warning is sounded.
7
INTELLIGRIP
With integrated intelligent traction control driving in difficult conditions is improved as the system transfers the drive to the wheel with the most grip. Hill Descent Control is also part of this innovative option and allows the driver to keep full control of the van on a muddy or rocky hill without having to touch the accelerator.
8
REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT
Using the rear sensor, the system detects approaching vehicles behind the van and sounds an audible warning for the driver, helping to avoid accidents when reversing out of a parking space.
9
ADVANCED BRAKE ASSIST
The system acoustically warns the driver of dangerous situations ahead. If another vehicle gets too close the system automatically initiates braking should the driver fail to react. Opel driver assistance systems are intended to support the driver within the limitations intrinsic to the system. The driver remains responsible for the driving task
10
SIDE BLIND SPOT ALERT
The Side Blind Spot Alert system warns the driver when it’s dangerous to change lanes due to vehicles or objects in their blind spot.
11
TRAILER BLIND SPOT ALERT
Opel Movano offers three speciality trailer safety functions: Automatic Trailer Detection to determine the presence or absence of a towed trailer. Trailer Length Detection to estimate the length of a trailer. Extended Blind Spot Alert to detect neighbouring vehicles in the trailers path when changing lanes.
