Following another successful year for the organisation, Johnson & Perrott Ltd is pleased to announce changes to its leadership team, with effect from April 2024.

Mark Whitaker is appointed to the role of Chair of the Board. Mark has played a pivotal part in the company since 1990 and has been CEO for the last 23 years. During his time as CEO, Mark has developed the group into one of Ireland’s most successful motor retailers and one of Cork’s most respected family companies. In his new role as Chairperson, Mark will focus on the future strategy of the group and supporting the new leadership team.

George Mills is appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer. With previous extensive experience in the motor and other industries, George joined Johnson & Perrott in 2013 as Managing Director of our Motor Dealerships Division. During his time, George has been instrumental in the expansion of the division and building of our market share in Cork.

Commenting on the changes, Mark Whitaker said “I am hugely proud of what our team of 220 professionals have achieved in my time as CEO. This is down to the commitment of our staff and adhering to the core family values on which our business is founded. This is the first time the group will be led by an individual from outside of the shareholding family and represents a milestone in our development into a truly professionally managed family-owned organisation.”
